Whitacre Leads Louisville Orchestra

Grammy Award winning composer and conductor Eric Whitacre joins with the the Louisville Orchestra for a performance of inimitable works from across his career. Joining Whitacre and the orchestra will be violinist Anne Akiko Meyers and the voices of the Louisville Chamber Choir to bring to life the sound of the composer's signature choral brilliance.

Known for his mastery of choral composition as well as a specialism in creating works for wind ensemble, Whitacre's acclaimed output includes the Grammy Award-winning album Light & Gold, as well as vocal and choral arrangements on blockbuster movies such as Pirates of the Carribbean: On Stranger Tides, Kung Fu Panda 3 and How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World.
