A Christmas Carol

A Louisville tradition for four decades
Why see A Christmas Carol?
Dickens' Classic
Banish those humbugs with the Actors Theatre's production of Charles Dickens timeless festive tale, which has been delighting Louisville audiences for four decades. Supported by Fifth Third Bank, this staging promises a visually splendid take on the story of Ebeneezer Scrooge, replete with beloved Christmas songs and larger than life characters. This adaptation is by Barbara Field, while Drew Fracher directs.
As everyone knows, A Christmas Carol centers on Ebeneezer Scrooge, a penny-pinching business man in Victorian London who couldn't give two hoots about the season of goodwill. That is until he is visited by three spirits on Christmas Eve, the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future, who all take him on an incredible journey through time to show him the error of his ways.
