AJ STILL HAS IT

The man's taken care of himself and may be a little different than 2004 but he was 97% vocally the same, very enjoyable. Not like Garth from 1997-2008 who I would not recommend. Love Garth and his music, but concerts cost so much and he was incendiary the night they recorded low places in Wich. Guess I got lucky on that (won the tix, too lol). But AJ, def a great show and music. His energy was not 100%, but the crowd, reallllly sucked. I think 3 of us stood on stage R up in the seats, 4 in the back on the far end, maybe a few around here or there and of course the pit, but truly sad crowd. AJ did way more than his part, wife said best concert ever.

GREAT SHOW

Another great performance by Alan. Have seen him many times through the years. He sang for just short of 2 hrs. We had heard that he was recovering from a respiratory infection. Glad he is doing ok and was able to go on with the show. I know he hates to cancel and disappoint the fans. He was awfully good last night.

ALAN JACKSON AWESOME

When we got to our seats they were draped and there was a large screen drape blocking our view. After an exchange of tickets at Customer service we finally got some quite decent seats in the lower balcony. We loved the concert. One of the gals in the row behind us thought we had paid to hear her scream and listen to endless chatter, but really we paid to hear Alan sing and we weren’t disappointed. He was awesome.

EXCELLENT SHOW

Let’s see how many of you at 60 years old could still bring a crowd to their feet. Not many. My husband, daughter, and her boyfriend were at the concert. Alan put on a terrific concert for all of his fans on Friday night, if he was struggling with any health issues he was still able to do his job and do it well.

ALLAN JACKSON GREAT TENILLE?

Loved AJ , yes he's in his 60s now but that voice is still pure as ever. My only disappointment was the warm up act Tennille whatever he name was just didn't fit with AJ and the Steel Blossoms

AJ WAS SO WORTH IT AND HE’S STILL GOT IT!!

What a show - awesome! Salt Lake City loved him and so did we! Corey Farley played at 7:30 and was so good as a warm up - keep singing and playing and he could be a headliner soon. Alan still has it -his voice sounded so fine! We loved every minute of his 2 hour set! He played old and new songs 20+ Thank you AJ for coming back to SLC - we love you!!

HE'S AS GOOD AS EVER!

His performance in Dallas was outstanding! The crowd was alive and on their feet almost the entire night. Alan gave us his best, it's a night I'll never forget.

ALAN JACKSON KILLED IT!!

The show, that is, which happened last night (Friday Sept. 30 2022) in Phoenix, Arizona. To get me hyped, I listened to my personal Alan favorites earlier in the day, and Alan and his band just about played 'em all! Yeah, some were the short version, but no complaints since it allowed for more songs. Alan's still got it vocally, but it's apparent father time is catching up to him, with him needing a stool, occasional breaks, and an escort on & off the stage. So what, though? Father time is undefeated. I would recommend to all to catch Alan whenever he comes to your town. This just might be your final chance to see a living legend making the rounds for his appropriately called Last Call Tour!

AJ CONCERT AT THE WELL IN DM IOWA 9-11-21

I’m a huge AJ fan! Have seen him a couple of times before. He lacked energy last night. You could tell his heart wasn’t in his performance. Fans were crazy wild! I hope he gets to feeling better soon !! I will always be a FAN! Love you Alan

TOO LATE ON STAGE

We kind of enjoyed Steel Blossoms who was the first performance at 7:30 and then Tenille Townes who went on and on - we were near a speaker that sucked - strident, deafening. AJ didn't appear until 8:45!! We almost left before he came on. Performance was ok but lacked energy. Tickets were not all that expensive, so, all in all, not too bad. Would we do it again, NO.

IT SEEMED LIKE HE DID NOT FEEL GOOD

I am a huge fan, but he was not engaged last night. You never know what is going on in his life right now. Still love him.

FIRST AJ CONCERT, A BIT OF A LET DOWN

My wife and I were disappointed, we waited a long time to see AJ. The opening acts took way too long, and I see comments of the crowd lacking energy (I disagree some, there were enough LED phone lights during 9/11 song to literally light up the place. I think a lot was lost in waiting nearly 1.5 hours from scheduled start time until he actually began to sing. The first act was not bad, the second was horrible, we are not sure if it was her voice or the sound system but we literally could not understand a word she sang. One must remember there venue, New Orleans as a whole like to drink (it is also Mardi Gras, might not have been best date choice), we didn't, but in 1.5 hours many had, I was dozing off it had been so long. I have seen many concerts, some I did not because of preference, but this one was a disappointment from the main performer, if there was a health issue, then I would have rather received a refund or at least an upfront apology by Alan, with perhaps a 30-40% refund.

LET DOWN

Steel Blossoms are very talented, especially the lead singer. AJ seemed to be tired and seemed to have difficulty walking. He had to steady himself a few times as he walked on stage. Still love his voice and he is the last of real C&W singers. Has floor seats, and won’t get them again. Have bad knees and couldn’t stand for long. Still love to listen to AJ!

WAS A LET DOWN

Seating was terrible to have had tickets since February 2020! Couldn’t see the only screen of him and so high up in rafters. Loved Allan’s performance although did look like he was hurting in his back. Didn’t care for the opening group and total concert just lacked energy. To top it off we had seats on an end isle with young kids wanting in and out all night long getting beer. All in all not sure I would ever go to JQH for another concert!

2.0 star rating Michelle from Madison, Wisconsin

NOT WORTH IT

He didn't try very hard. Little audience engagement. Just played through the list like he was on autopilot and wanted to be done.

2.0 star rating Linda Wendel from Fort Wayne, Indiana

DISAPPOINTED

I often listen to Allan Jackson. He is a great singer. His 'heart' was not in his performance on Friday. He seemed tired and I am not sure he wanted to be on that stage. I always try to watch his TV appearances.. My friend had recent surgery and was unable to stand for very long. We had floor seats, worst seats ever.

2.0 star rating Joe from Columbus, Ohio

CUT SONGS

Show had no energy and while his voice sounded terrific he cut verses in at least 5 songs. I wanted to hear every verse... to me he looked tired , sick or injured.

2.0 star rating TBurkhardt from Omaha, Nebraska

DISAPPOINTED

No energy and lack of crowd engagement. Too many breaks with silence in between songs. Barely sang through a full song. He wanted it done and over before he even took the stage.

2.0 star rating Bob from Texas

WHY SO SHORT?

Played for 90 minutes. Really? We’ve all been cooped up for 18 months and 3 reschedules later, it’s was like he was ready to get out of there. Travelled in from out of state. Very disappointed.
